It's Spring Cleaning Time

 

As with all things we have to do our chores.  And of course the bigger it gets, the harder it is.   And we have a real BIG boat.   We have just finished our maintenance on the MV Glen Royal.  This year we had to take her out of the water to pass the MSA inspection and general housekeeping work.  This created a BIG problem for us as there are no other boats in Mokau that are 15-16 meters long (50 feet).   There are no boat cranes and the thought of going over the open sea to New Plymouth port where they load gas, oil, and coal was not a good option.

So we built an boat trailer out of a old house moving trailer.  The we got a BIG trunk and just pulled her out.  It only took 12 months to plan.
